One of the biggest challenges as a parent, is finding activities and programmes that suit their children and help them to grow and develop. All too often, parents find themselves struggling to keep their children occupied during the school holidays, or worrying about their child's future. However, our skills development programmes at Equine Dynamics, can make a real difference in a child's life.
These programmes are designed to help children learn essential life skills, from communication and confidence-building to expressions of creativity. And because they're fun and engaging, children actually want to attend them. As a result, parents can go from feeling anxious and stressed about their child's welfare to feeling confident and relieved that their child is in good hands. Meet Our Team
FOUNDER, OWNER & FACILITATOR
Meet Leanne Benjamin
Equine Dynamics was founded by Leanne Benjamin, who has nearly two decades of experience in the mental health and social work fields. In her 18 years working with children, youth, and families, she discovered a passion for facilitating programmes that improve their lives. From 2019 to 2022, Leanne ran a successful service from home called Animals Inspiring Kids - an after-school and holiday programme for kids with neurodiversity and other challenges. Over the years, she has learned new skills and experienced many different events in life, which has led her business to shift gears. Her late Auntie Fay was a huge influence, horse lover, and inspiration in helping this dream come to life! Now, alongside a horse, she helps people build various life skills through Equine Assisted Learning.
Meet Twilight
Twilight is a 9hh Shetland pony mare. Twilight at 17 years old, has been here the longest, since 2014. Twilight's middle name is Sassy because she knows what she wants! Twilight loves getting into mischief and being part of the crew on adventures. She is a bay and white pinto, is very fluffy and round and loves her food! Twilight will challenge you to step into being the leader of your own life! Indecisive, unsure or second guessing just won’t work for this girl!
Meet Tommy (Aristokles)
Tommy is a four-year-old Clydesdale x Thoroughbred and is currently 16.2hh but is still growing. Tommy is bay in colour, with four white socks, with very hairy feathers! He is Leanne's riding horse and has been here since January 2022. Tommy loves learning new things and going on adventures. He is a great big teddy bear and loves cuddles and carrots. Tommy is a great teacher because he is so calm, quiet and patient.
Meet Stark (Irish Marvel)
Stark is a 16.3hh four-year-old Irish Draft gelding who arrived in April 2023. Stark gets his name from Tony Stark - Ironman, a namesake he loves to try and live up to! Stark is a month older than Tommy, and also has more growing to do. Stark is Glen's (Leanne's partner) riding horse, but he isn't part of the programme just yet as he needs to work on his reining in his rebellious nature!
